Craft Business Accelerator Mixer #18: The Benefits (and Struggles) of Market Vending

THE BENEFITS (AND STRUGGLES) OF MARKET VENDING Join us at Protohaven, a local nonprofit makerspace, to explore the benefits and struggles of selling your products in markets such as the Three Rivers Arts Festival and the Handmade Arcade. We'll be joined by Tricia Brancolini-Foley, Executive Director of Pittsburgh's Handmade Arcade, who will discuss how to prepare for market vending, tips for engaging with customers, table lay-out and other topics. Once Tricia has shared her insights, we’ll break out into different groups lead by a creative entrepreneur who has experience in art market vending. With the help of some prompts, your group can discuss insights and experiences. After 15 minutes groups will switch and the conversation will start again. Afterwards there will be an informal go-around where groups can share their thoughts and take-aways from the evening. As usual, refreshments will be served!
