Use flowers from Hattie Lehman's Bouquet CSA to  create wonderful contour floral drawings and photographic floral fabric designs! This class is filled to the brim with creative experimentation and new skill building! Students will learn how to relax into contour drawings inspired by a small individual bouquet of flowers (that you get to take home!). Contour drawing is a fundamental drawing technique that makes abstract, dynamic drawings. Once you have a few drawings done, then we will learn some basic iPad photography techniques to create photographic flower motifs.  From there, we will combine our drawn and photographic motifs with Procreate digital painting techniques. Procreate is a robust digital illustration app that will allow you to create layered designs that can be used to have fabric, wallpaper, or gift wrap printed with your design! This class is for: Anyone who wants to combine their creativity with both art and design skills. Anyone who aspires to have their own drawings, paintings, and/or photography printed on fabrics and other surfaces. Anyone who wants to add a mobile aspect to their artistic practice. You will take home your bouquet, a number of hand drawn and watercolor sketches, new digital skills, and numerous digital paintings and drawings, some of which will be ready to upload to print on demand websites.  LEVEL: Participants should know how to use basics iPad functions such as zooming in and zooming out. Being comfortable with both experimental and step-by-step approaches to art is important.  MATERIALS: Basic drawing and watercolor materials will be provided for your use in class. Feel free to bring anything you may like using.  IPADS: Procreate is a Mac only app. It's $9.99 and completely worth it. You can download it here. This fee is not included in the class cost.
