The Blanket Presents - Yolk & Grove

The Blanket's third project will present "Yolk & Grove" by award-winning New York City choreographer Beth Gill. This performance will be held at the iconic Carrie Furnaces and will highlight the work of this visionary artist in the massive Power House at the Carrie Furnaces. Yolk & Grove, is a choreographic mash-up of two pieces by Beth Gill adapted for The Blanket for these performances. This choreographic work is a structural study in which one work invades another to create a landscape of drifting sculptural forms and explosive dramatic events. The Blanket has commissioned an original sound score by New York City composer Ryan Seaton to accompany this new version of Yolk & Grove. The opening night performance on July 5th will be followed by a cocktail party at The Carrie Furnaces. Come and mingle with the dancers, the composer, the choreographer, and The Blanket directors.
